Pro Tools Expert Brent Heber joins UTS: Pro School

One of the audio industry's most respected Pro Tools trainers, Brent Heber, has joined the UTS: Pro School instructor team based at the University of Technology, Sydney.

MediaLab Manager at UTS, James Hurley, said Heber was bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the industry to UTS: Pro School, having honed his knowledge over seven years working as Avid Digidesign's local Product Specialist and Pro Audio Applications Engineer.

"Brent's Pro Tools qualifications are a standout – he is among the few people in the world to have completed all 300 level Expert qualifications (ICON mixer, Post-Production and Music) from Avid Digidesign," Hurley said.

Heber has spent many years teaching custom designed programs for clients in all parts of the audio industry. He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge through the Digidesign Pro School courseware and accreditation programs, from 101 to "Expert" levels.

"I've always been passionate about training, it's been a big part of my work with Digi over the last seven years," Heber said. "UTS is the original home of the Digidesign training curriculum in Australia and consequently I've been working alongside them all this time and have watched how the faculty has changed and evolved. I see great things ahead for 2010 and want to be a part of that."

Hurley said, "Brent will be an invaluable asset to UTS: Pro School as it continues to grow and serve local, national and regional audio professionals and industry."

UTS: Pro School's next round of short courses will run in February 2010 and it is expected that students will grab this opportunity to learn with one of the world's few "complete" Pro Tools experts.
