Pro Tools Courses

We are one of a handful of Digidesign authorised Australian Pro Schools that can take you from the fundamentals of Pro Tools^TM right through to 300-level – where you qualify to take the Pro Tools | Expert exam.

The Digidesign Training Program comprises three levels of official coursework which prepares you for Pro Tools | Operator and Pro Tools | Expert Certification Exams.

100-level courses provide you with a strong foundation in Pro Tools working from system set up through to editing, recording and mixing with both audio and MIDI. On completion of the 100 level courses, individuals will be able to set up their own Pro Tools studio environment and complete a broad range of projects.

200-level courses build the fundamental skills needed to competently operate a Pro Tools HD system in a professional environment. Coursework involves a study of Pro Tools production essentials and either post-production or music production techniques. On completion of 200-level coursework, you’ll be ready to take the Pro Tools | Operator Exam in Post, Music - or both!

300-level courses focus on advanced operation of Pro Tools HD systems for music or post-production. Coursework involves working in real-world scenarios through example exercises from audio and MIDI production projects (310M) and TV and film production projects (310P). On completion of 300 level, you’ll be eligible to sit the Pro Tools | Expert Exam!

Pro Tools^TM 101

The Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools is an indepth, intensive and challenging 2-day course. 101 will develop your Pro Tools skills from initial set up to final mixdown in both music and post-production scenarios. The course has been reworked and updated for Pro Tools 8 and will give you the basic skills to succeed.

Pro Tools^TM 110

Pro Tools 110: Essentials of Pro Tools is a 3-day course that builds upon the foundational skills you have learnt in 101. The course is structured around advanced audio and media editing techniques, to make you a more efficient and thorough Pro Tool user. The course provides the foundation for the later 200-series Pro Tools Music Production and Post-production courses.

Pro Tools^TM 130

Pro Tools 130: Pro Tools for Game Audio is a 3 day course that provides students with exposure to the core skills, workflow, and concepts involved in creating and implementing game audio using Pro Tools systems. It covers basic sound design techniques for both Macintosh and Windows systems.

Pro Tools^TM 201

Pro Tools 201: Pro Tools Production Essentials covers the core concepts and skills needed to operate a Digidesign Pro Tools|HD system in a professional studio environment. This 2-day course transitions you from the Pro Tools LE environment to the Pro Tools HD environment.

Pro Tools^TM 210M

Pro Tools 210M: Music Production Techniques covers techniques for working with Pro Tools systems in a professional music production environment and prepares you for the Pro Tools | Operator (Music) certification exam. Concepts and skills learned in 101, 110, and 201 are reinforced with practical music-specific examples and exercises.

Pro Tools^TM 210P

Pro Tools 210P: Post Production Techniques covers techniques for working with Pro Tools in a professional post-production environment and prepares you for the Pro Tools | Operator (Post) certification exam. Concepts and skills learned in 101, 110, and 201 are reinforced with practical post-specific examples and examples.

Pro Tools^TM 310M

Pro Tools 310M: Advanced Music Production Techniques focuses on the advanced operation of Pro Tools in a professional music production environment. This course offers technical insights into both Pro Tools hardware and software which will get you ready for the Pro Tools | Expert (Music) certification exam.

Pro Tools^TM 310P

Pro Tools 310P: Advanced Post Production Techniques focuses on the advanced operation of Pro Tools in a professional post-production environment. This course offers technical insights into both Pro Tools hardware and software which will prepare you for the Pro Tools | Expert (Post) certification exam.
